Policies:
Guests must be 16 years of age to experience as Spa treatment. To enhance the pleasure of Spa clients, children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the Spa.

History:
The Spa at Harbour Inn opened in May 2004. It was a vision of the St.
Michaels Harbour Inn & Marina owner, Bob Pascal to open a Spa at the
waterfront resort. The Spa was designed and opened by Lynsey Roper. She
was the Spa Director for 18 months before becoming the hotel General
Manager and promoting Denise Nielsen to Spa Manager. Denise is an
esthetician and massage therapist who was involved with the Spa at
Harbour Inn from the very beginning. The Spa has been featured in
Southern Living, Chesapeake Life, What’s Up Annapolis and on
spas.about.com.
How to Spa
When should I arrive?
For your enhanced comfort and enjoyment, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow you time to change, enjoy the steam room and rest in our relaxation lounge. If you arrive late you will limit the time available for your treatment. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged
What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment, robes and slippers are provided. If you are staying in the hotel, please leave valuable items in your guestroom. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items in the Spa. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in the Spa.
What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our Spa reservation agent before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately. While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed.
Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services. For men, shaving is recommended, but not necessary, prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your appointment.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment for any reason, please notify us twenty-four (24) hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations of packages require 48-hour notice. Groups are subject to a two-week cancellation policy. Please observe these cancellation times in order to avoid being charged a service fee. A credit card number is required at the time you book your treatments.
What about gratuities?
Gratuities are not included, but can be added at your request. 15-20% is customary.
